SWISSVAX CARAT, the world's most exclusive wax?
The Swiss manufacturer of car care products is renowned for creating high-quality waxes for cars, motorcycles, yachts and aeroplanes. SWISSVAX has set a new standard by developing a wax that is at the limit of what is possible to create. The goal was to create a wax with maximum gloss, protection and durability. The result is SWISSVAX CARAT, perhaps the world's most exclusive wax for vehicles.
Carnauba is the most important ingredient when it comes to shine on a vehicle. Conventional wax has a content of 5-10 % carnauba, while SWISSVAX's wax starts with a content of 30% (SWISSVAX Onyx) and goes up to 76% (SWISSVAX Crystal Rock).
Such a high content of carnauba does not allow industrial production, which is why every single SWISSVAX wax is made by hand, resulting in a significantly higher quality product, and SWISSVAX is also one of the very few manufacturers to use PTFE in high-quality carnauba. PTFE resin (polytetrafluoroethylene) belongs to the genus of paraffinic polymers in which hydrogen is partially or completely replaced by fluorides. The original PTFE resin was invented by DuPont in 1938 and baptised Teflon. PTFE has exceptional resistance to chemicals and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any material known today.
The latest high-end premium wax CARAT from SWISSVAX is probably the world's most exclusive wax with a carnauba content of 81 %, achieving a level of gloss never seen before. In addition, it is infused with maximum PTFE, which ensures extreme resistance to insects, dirt and other impurities. The lustre and "hardness" of this wax is like a brilliant gemstone, hence the name: SWISSVAX CARAT.
A 100 ml jar of wax is sufficient for approx. 10-15 applications, depending on the type of vehicle -SWISSVAX CARAT has a shelf life of up to 12 months on the vehicle.
Stiff price?
At first glance, you might think that £11,450 incl. VAT for 100 ml of wax is a little on the expensive side, but is it really that bad?
1 jar of 100 ml. is enough for 10-15 treatments. A good detailer will get out 15 treatments, if not more. Let's take the worst-case scenario and assume that the jar lasts for 10 treatments. With a shelf life of 12 months, you can divide 11,450 by 10 = 1,145 per treatment (114.50 per year). With a shelf life of 12 months per treatment, you will have a pot for 10-15 years if you wax the car every 12 months.
Limited Edition
SWISSVAX CARAT 100 ml. is produced in a limited edition of only 100 jars worldwide. BNC Nordic Distribution AS has acquired the rights to 5 jars of this specially designed can.
